These terms govern SMS communications sent by Platypus Automations LLC on behalf of local service businesses. By receiving messages through our platform, you agree to the terms below.

HELP — Reply HELP for assistance.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Platypus Automations LLC builds AI-powered lead response and follow-up automation systems for local service businesses. This includes missed-call text-back, AI-driven SMS lead screening, after-hours AI voice answering, and Google review automation, delivered as a recurring subscription service.
We do not guarantee any specific result from these services, including lead volume, booked jobs, revenue, or review counts. Results depend on factors outside our control, including your business's existing reputation, local market conditions, staffing, and how leads are handled once they reach you.
Platypus Automations services are billed on a recurring monthly subscription basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file each billing cycle until the subscription is cancelled.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may retry the charge. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of service, as described under Term & Termination below.
We may change pricing on an active subscription. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date counts as accepting the change.
You can cancel at any time by giving written notice to tim@platypusautomations.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
We don't refund partial months of service already delivered. If you cancel mid-cycle, your service stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again after that.
This agreement runs month to month until either side ends it.
We may suspend or terminate service for non-payment, or for misuse of the system, including using it to send unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent communications. We'll make a reasonable effort to notify you before suspending service for non-payment.
You can cancel at any time under Cancellation & Refunds above. When service ends, we disable your active workflows and, on request, provide an export of your lead and conversation data within a reasonable time. We are not obligated to keep your data indefinitely after your account closes.
You own the business and lead data that runs through your automation systems, including customer names, contact information, and conversation history collected through your account.
Opted-in customer contact data collected through the review request and follow-up systems may also be used by Platypus Automations to build our own newsletter list. This is disclosed here as a standard part of how the service works. It applies only to contacts who have opted in, and it's offered as an added touchpoint for your customers, not a replacement for your own use of that data.
Ownership of the automation build itself, as opposed to the data running through it, is addressed under Intellectual Property below.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service, including a missed call, automation failure, delayed message, or resulting lost business, is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, even if we've been advised such damages were possible.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from this agreement will be resolved in the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Platypus Automations LLC is a Virginia limited liability company.
Platypus Automations owns the automation build itself, including the workflows, prompts, and system configuration we create for your account, along with any general methods or components we reuse across clients. You're licensed to use your specific build for as long as your subscription stays active.
You retain ownership of your own business data, branding, and content, including anything you provide to us for use in your automations.
